Brahans Rubber Private Limited was established in 1973 and promoted by Mr. K. S. Bhandary a Technocrat. Mr.Bhandary has a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and is a product of Karnataka Regional Engineering College with a first class Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mr.Bhandary is also a Member of Institute of Engineers. With around 8 years working experience in various fields, especially in Rubber Industry, he ventured into a business of producing Industrial Rubber Products and established BRAHANS.
The main aim of the new venture was to produce top-class Rubber Products for various Industrial Sectors. Over a period of time, BRAHANS enjoyed confidence of leading original equipment manufacturers as more and more items were developed to meet their requirements.
During the year 1982, BRAHANS picked-up the challenge of venturing into the manufacture of Marine Rubber Fenders. In fact, the first development of Super Arch (‘V’ type) Rubber Fenders manufactured as an Import Substitution for supply to New Mangalore Port Trust. Having developed this successfully, BRAHANS developed other type of Rubber Fenders like Cylindrical, ‘W’ and ‘H’ type in various sizes for supplies to Port Trusts in India for Replacement and for Fixing on New Jetties. Having specialised in the manufacturer of Rubber Parts and Marine Rubber Fenders, BRAHANS ventured into export of products to developed countries. After looking into the market potential, BRAHANS developed a specialised product known as DOCK BUMPERS which are used in Parking Terminals as well as the bodies of the Vehicles. These products were well accepted in U.K., U.S.A, Canada & Spain and quantum of exports has been growing steadily for last 3 to 4 years. Apart from these, BRAHANS has also identified a potential of various types of Rubber Parts / Bushes for use on heavy duty Trailer Trucks and have successfully developed various types of Bushes for Exports. With these successful development, BRAHANS has plans to expand the Customer base in India as well as in developed countries abroad.
